Podvoisky is at Tier V in the Soviet Russian gunboat destroyers line. From the Izyslav, you get much larger guns as well as further range. Concealment remains about the same, and torpedo ranges does increase to 4.20 km, but it is still well within your detection and playing around the torpedoes is way impossible. You do get twice the AA level of the Izyslav, but the AA armament was so thin in the first place so don't be expecting to shoot down any planes at all. From here on, the true flavor of the Russian Destroyers is displayed. She could be played as a hunter of low HP ships as this is the common feature of the Russian Destroyers.

One of the draft designs for the first destroyer flotilla leaders in the U.S.S.R. Unlike destroyers built during the pre-revolutionary period, this ship had greater dimensions, a higher speed and more powerful artillery. Apart from that, she carried torpedoes of a larger caliber.
