In the current version of the game DDs are mighty battleship killers, as a battle ship captain you should know how to fight them the most effective way. The Dunkerque is capable of fighting of 1 DD at a time because of her gun placement, if a DD is over a distance of 7 km you should turn away and fire with HE from the distance, but if he's under this range you should go to 1/2 speed and point your nose to him to get as few torpedo hits as posible. That position also allows you to fire HE salvos at the broadside with your quad turrets of the enemy DD. If you have the possiblity to use your fairly effective secondary guns you shouldnt hesitate ! |

CAs are tasty targets on which you should AP on on all ranges, but be carful some CAs have Torpedos in this case you should use the 1/2 speed tactic from my DD guide above to prevent getting sunk by them. |

BBs are difficult to kill with dunki because of its 330mm guns, above a range of 8 km you sould use your godlike HE to burn them down, but be careful keep yourself angeld so there is at least a chanse of bouncing shells, because as i explaind the armor is made for 280mm shells. |
