General Information

One of the most known Heavy Cruisers in World War 2, Baltimore is be considered among the best of warships, carrying an armament of 203mm Mk15 Guns and a bristling 127mm Mk38 Guns and an array of AA Guns (In-Game her secondaries are 152mm instead). Baltimore is a hard nut to crack. Put into consideration that her AP shells can even penetrate the strongest of battleships and her guns can fire faster than her peers in Tier IX. Overall she is a well rounded or what you could say; a Jack of all Trades.

In Game Information

Designed after the treaty limitations had been lifted and built using the experience gained in World War II. Greater dimensions of the cruiser improved its survivability owing to reinforced armor deck and enhanced protection for the propulsion. In addition to the main battery guns, the ship received dual-purpose artillery mounts.

Baltimore was laid down after all hell broke loose in Europe as the signatories of the Washington and London Naval Treaties nullifyed any displacement and limited tonnage. This was when the Nation‘s representative signed Baltimore's design and was heavily influenced by ships like USS Cleveland,USS Fargo and St.Lo Class and finally the last Treaty Cruiser USS Wichita. When war was finally tainted in US Soil, Baltimore's was considered well built and well designed along with there superb repair team. None of the class was ever sunk but only sustained heavy damage. An example of this is USS Pittsburgh that had her bow even completely ripped off while Canberra sustained heavy damage from enemy action. Nonetheless after the War they cooperated in Operation Magic Carpet and served in the Korean war. Even in the 1960-70’s some were already chosen to become Guided Missile Cruisers while some were ,othballed or scrapped. None these ships were ever preserved.
